Starbase Louisiana jobs

Last updated

SpaceX has not announced Louisiana-specific hiring yet. Every legitimate opening is posted at spacex.com/careers, filterable by location. No headcount, wage figure, or hiring date has been published for the Pecan Island site.

Where openings actually get posted

SpaceX posts all roles on its own careers site. Louisiana positions will show up there with a Louisiana location tag. Treat any other site charging a fee, promising early access, or collecting an application on SpaceX's behalf as a scam.

What a new launch site typically needs first

Before flight operations, site build-outs draw on civil and marine construction, surveying, environmental compliance, heavy equipment operation, welding and fabrication, electrical and instrumentation, logistics and trucking, security, and facilities. Engineering and launch operations roles follow the hardware.

Local workforce context

Vermilion Parish and greater Acadiana already supply a large marine construction, fabrication, and oilfield services workforce. Those trades transfer directly to spaceport construction, which is one reason the Gulf Coast keeps drawing this kind of project.

Avoiding recruitment scams

SpaceX does not charge application fees, does not hire through direct social media messages, and does not ask for payment for equipment or training. If someone asks you for money to be considered for a Starbase Louisiana job, it is fraud.

What is not known

Total jobs, wage ranges, whether hiring will run through general contractors, and when a Louisiana careers page or hiring event might appear. None of that has been published. This page updates when it is.
